Annette was my aunt and my Mom;s closest sister. She took over as the executor of my mom's estate when I was 18, with an older brother Roger (20) and my younger brother Claude (16) (named for Claude Raines, whom my mom adored) ! At 18 and younger I did not really understand what Annette was trying to teach me about my mom, my dad, and life in general, But she never left us, religiously, practically (Annette was ALWAYS practical), lovingly. When I got older I realized how much she did for us and how much I really loved her. We spent years of Sundays, bbq'ing, with her and Uncle Andre and the 'boys' in Brooklyn along the side of Mr. Frosty! I have told many friends over the last few days that this is the end of what I consider a '"Dysfunctional Dynasty" but Annette and her boys could always make things right, even though we didn't figure out until much later in our own lives what right was..oh, and a shout out to Nicki, one of our favorite cousins who lived this bizarre lives with us.

God speed Aunt Annette - I have always loved you. Oh and if any of you see me in red, that is my homage to her, from my mom. Those of you who grew up with me will understand.
Love Lydia Marie Bennett and my hubby Dave Clark who loved her just as well.

My mom, Gloria, lived.up the street from Annette, in Leisure Village. She was also one of the "garage ladies." Mom was very fond of Annette. She was a warm, inviting person and loved to share about her childhood in Canada. I was honored to be included in the garage ladies visits with my mom and we both enjoyed and loved Annette. She will be greatly missed.
Love, Lesley Whelen

I shall miss my wonderful friend, Annette! While living in Leisure Village, Annette would gather us ( garage ladies and gentlemen!) to enjoy conversation and presence together. I was one of the ‘garage ladies’! I loved listening to Annette and her stories. I was privileged to visit her over the past several weeks. Her family are wonderful ! Her care givers were very devoted to her. I shall miss her very much. Thank you, Annette! God bless you and all your family and friends! Ginny
