Obituary

Charlotte Ann Agostinho, 68 years old, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side on December 12th, 2019. Charlotte was born July 17, 1951 to Joseph and Charlotte Miller neè (McQuillan). She was the second oldest child, her brother Joseph being the oldest, followed by her sister Eileen, and sadly predeceased by her youngest brother Michael.

Charlotte is survived by her adoring and devoted husband Denis, and her two children, Tara Santarpia (neé Malone), and Peter Malone. She is tragically predeceased by her stepson Michael Agostinho. Her greatest joy in life was to spend time with her family, and her 3 grandsons, Liam, James and Alexander Santarpia.

Charlotte was a lover of life, and a great inspiration to all. She shined light wherever she went, and made this world a better place just by being in it. She spent her life's work successfully managing the family business in the field of insurance. She was a volunteer bereavement counselor for St. Charles Hospice for 10 years, a volunteer religious education teacher for children, and a Eucharist minister each week at Sunday mass.

In her free time she enjoyed spending time outdoors whether it be in the garden, at the beach, in her kayak, or on a long adventure hike. She was an avid reader, and a wonderful cook, but most importantly she was the most inspirational, loving, devoted and incredible wife, mom, grandmom, sister, aunt, cousin and friend anyone could ask for. Heaven gained the most precious and beautiful angel. She fought with every ounce of her being. May she now rest eternally in Gods hands. Her radiant soul, and the memories we share will never be forgotten.

God's Garden

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering,
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine.”

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone…
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

Gayle said it was the wonderful family reunions which were tremendous events to pull together, which she did alone. I would agree!
I remember how thrilled she was to go on her pilgrimage to where the Blessed Mother was seen! She felt so lucky to go, so blessed herself for the chance. That lasted a long time.
