My deepest condolences to the Logan family. Jim will forever be a presence on Wayside Lane. When I first met Jim he told me he was a firefighter and instantly we had something in common! My Dad was a firefighter and of course we shared stories of people they knew and times they spent on the job. I will always remember watching Jim & his wife work together on the front yard it was something they did regularly. It didn’t seem like they had to but they enjoyed doing things together. He always spoke so proudly of his family. He’s children, grandchild and then his great grandchildren! I will miss the talks we had mostly about his family, the fire department or his golf game but his joking personality always had me in laughs! My thoughts & prayers are with you all.
God Bless Kelly D’Aprile & Family

I got to spend a few days with my Uncle Jim when he stayed with me. He was here on the West Coast for his brother's funeral. Since he looked just like my father it was as if I had my father back. It was such a wonderful experience. Only Jim was much funnier than my father. After that time whenever I was back East I made a point of seeing him. He made me laugh and always had an uplifting affect on me. Will miss him greatly. My deepest condolences to his daughters and their families.

Jim was one of my favorite brother firefighters in the F.D.N.Y. From when I first met him as a probie in E.262, he was a bestie of Willie Dickinson. Later when I was a fireman in L.154 we had many, many, memorable jobs together. "Mother Logan" was always an exemplary fire officer and gentleman. He'd often meet me and other firefighters to play golf at Pine Hills or the Landing. The 19th hole was always played with gusto and boisterous tales.
My sincere condolences to his entire family, I was proud to call him my friend! May he forever rest in peace. Al Johanson
