I cannot begin to think of Joyce not being here. Even though we were miles apart, we kept in constant contact, more times it was Joyce who made the call. Friends since our kids were little, we went through a lot together. She was the most giving person I would ever know. She always had time to help if the need was there. Even when she herself was not feeling well, it didn't stop her from picking up grandkids or going to recitals or helping her son when he needed help. I am already missing her, but I know she is tired, no more, in pain, no more and able to finally rest peacefully. I have many, many years of memories of Joyce and the good times we had. Trying to pick out one favorite would be hard to do because there are so many. And so farewell my beautiful, good friend. It is now time for you to rest. Sleep peacefully, you will always be in my heart and on my mind. I love you,
Terry Hrobuchak

Joyce was my one and only Aunt. My dad is her brother. I have so many memories of her and yet not enough memories. I grew up living nearby her and Ronnie and I remember mostly going to her house, sleeping over, going on outings. Joyce was like my 2nd mom, someone who I could confide in and someone who always had my back. When I left for college it was hard leaving and then my parents moved to Minneapolis and then I moved there too. I moved back to NY-NJ for about 5 years and after that only returned for Faiths wedding in 2000. I have not been back to NY till today. Unfortunately, this trip is going to be difficult, what should be a happy occasion is not. I haven’t seen my cousins in 20 years and have never met some of their kids. I am excited for this. I was supposed to go to NY a few weeks ago for my 40th high school reunion but couldn’t make it. My parents were there for their last trip to NY just last week and had a wonderful time with Joyce and the family and while they were there I got to FaceTime with everyone and for one brief moment I was there with them. I feel that this was to be so I could come to hold and hug and be with my family when they are dealing with the unimaginable. Joyce used to tell me that when I was a baby I couldn’t pronounce her name, so every time I said goodbye I would say Bye Bye Doy. Well my beautiful aunt who I know is happy, healthy and with her parents, I will love you and miss you forever and ever. Bye Bye Doy. My heart is broken but I know you will be waiting for me when it is my time. Love 💕 you forever.

Joyce brought joy to the lives she touched. An angel on earth, there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for the benefit of her family and friends. Our hearts ache over the loss of this beautiful soul, but there is comfort in knowing she is with God and those she loved who've passed on before us. We shall meet again. xo
